Three typhoons lurking around the island makes for a very rainy day. Roads were rivers, parks were swimming pools, lanes were lakes and I was soaked. The positive is that its now a bit cooler - 28 instead of 34!

Playing fetch with Kratos in the park opposite the High Speed Rail station in Taoyuan. It was completely empty and (most importantly) devoid of dogs so we could let him off to run without any worries. He had a ball (haha see what I did there?.... sorry)

Enjoying a lovely Friday morning breakfast, courtesy of my sister-in-law's parents who brought bread from Tokyo for us and gave me a beautiful coffee cup. It was this brilliant start to the day that lead to me having an unusually productive Friday - love it!

Something I rarely get to see these days - a sunset! Usually its hidden behind a building or I'm too busy. This one was a nice treat and nearly made up for being drenched in a random thunderstorm when I got home in Taoyuan!

Another haircut - this one modelled on Detective Beckett from "Castle" (Season One). The best bit was the long and relaxing scalp massage.... heaven!

On my second hike with the lovely folks from the Yangmingshan National Park we were taken on a wee detour to see the sulfur vents at Dayoukeng (dah - yo - kung). It was seriously awesome and more than worth the battle through 7 foot high silver grass to see it!

Cute picture of Kratos taken on the roof. We bought a sun umbrella and set up with towels, pillows, cold beer and cashew nuts. He, of course, got right in amongst it!
